Instagram – According to SimilarWeb, Instagram has more than 78 million active users per month, making it one the most used apps of all time. Instagram is set to grow. According to our survey, 52% of marketers expect to increase their investment on Instagram in 2023. Our survey also revealed that 29% of social media marketers intend to invest more in Instagram than any other platform.
  2. Facebook – Facebook will see extraordinary growth in 2023, right behind Instagram. According to our survey, 23% of social media marketers plan to invest more in Facebook than any other platform, and 43% plan to increase their investment. Furthermore, 36% of social media marketers plan to use Facebook for the first time in 2023. Facebook currently attracts 2.93 billion monthly users, more than any of its competitors. The majority of the audience is Millennials, Gen X, and Baby Boomers.
  3. TikTok – TikTok has been called the platform for Gen Z, and the data supports it. TikTok is used by more than half of Gen Z users. Over half of Gen Z users are on TikTok. The number of TikTok users aged between 35-54 years was up 10% from last year. However, only 7% of Baby Boomers have used TikTok in the past three months.
  4. YouTube – According to SimilarWeb data, YouTube has over 34 billion monthly visitors and has 2 billion+ users. YouTube is almost equally popular among Gen Z, Millennials, and Gen X viewers. YouTube has been visited by 83% of Millennials in the past three months. Gen Z is at 81% and Gen X at 79%. YouTube is the second most popular social media platform for Baby Boomers, after Facebook.
